Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of thesophosco.com and our Financial Risk Assessment tool (together, the "Site"), operated by Sophos Insurance Agency, a DBA for The Sophos Co., LLC ("Sophos," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Educational Purpose Only — Not a Quote or Offer of Insurance

The Financial Risk Assessment and any other calculators or tools on the Site provide educational estimates only, based on the information you enter. Results are not a quote, offer, or guarantee of insurance coverage, and do not constitute insurance, financial, tax, or legal advice. Actual pricing, coverage amounts, and eligibility are determined through underwriting and depend on factors not captured by these tools. Any recommendation to purchase insurance must come from a licensed insurance agent.

Who Can Use the Site

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site or submit information through the Financial Risk Assessment or contact form.

Your Responsibilities

When using the Site, you agree to:

Provide accurate information to the best of your knowledge;
Use the Site only for lawful purposes;
Not attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its underlying systems; and
Not use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access or extract data from the Site without our permission.

No Obligation

Using the Site, taking the Financial Risk Assessment, or requesting a consultation does not obligate you to purchase any insurance product from Sophos, and does not create an agent-client or advisory relationship until you engage with a licensed Sophos agent directly.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, and the design and functionality of the Financial Risk Assessment tool — is owned by or licensed to Sophos and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute Site content without our prior written permission.

Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party websites or services we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site.

Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculation results will be accurate or complete for your individual situation.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sophos and its owners, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, including reliance on any Financial Risk Assessment results.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by the law of your state of residence.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
